Your School Library – Flipped, Mobile, Curated

VIEW THE WEBINAR

E-cSlide 129ontent and mobile technology transform the role of the librarian and notion of library. Participants of this webinar were given the tools to rethink library as a hybrid platform and explore options for addressing ubiquitous portable service, instruction, and resources. In this month’s webinar for the edWeb.net LMC @ The Forefront community, presenter Joyce Valenza, Teacher-Librarian at Springfield Township High School in Pennsylvania, shared options and strategies for curating, flipping, and mobilizing the traditional physical library for 24/7 availability. Joyce shared some of her favorite tools for searching to gain awareness, as well as trusted sites where students and teachers review apps to determine appropriateness.

Quotes from the session:

“This presentation was phenomenal, Joyce! Thanks so much for sharing your goldmine with us. I can’t wait to go exploring.”

“Thank you Joyce! That was so wonderful and informative. I will make sure to share with all the teacher-librarians in my school board.”
