It’s the number one priority for our classrooms as we get back to school. How do we plan our lessons, and integrate resources, to support deeper vocabulary investigation and greater collaboration and conversation? In this webinar, presenter Kevin Baird, Chairman of the Board at the nonprofit Center for College and Career Readiness, focused on pragmatic classroom and school procedures you can implement immediately to support deeper vocabulary and more precision discussion. Reviewing just-released assessment items from the major consortia, he looked at new requirements for precise use of language and the structure of argument. Working backwards, Kevin discussed key instructional strategies to ensure students master the vocabulary skills they need for writing, listening and speaking.  Kevin reviewed many just-released Common Core assessment items.  View the webinar to understand key vocabulary for mastery, the requirements for mastery and fluency, as well as specific and practical lessons to meet the requirements of the new assessment.
