The benefits of including students with autism spectrum disorders in group instructional opportunities is well documented. The challenge for educators becomes providing these instructional opportunities while ensuring that all learners have meaningful participation.

This webinar discussed:

  • Systematically planned group instructional activities targeting important skills such as observational learning, joint attention, turn-taking, sharing, and waiting
  • Environmental and visual supports for students focusing on participation and independence during group activities
  • Differentiating instruction to address a wide range of learner needs
  • Discussion of ideas and supports for teachers to assist in planning for successful group instruction

Join the Teaching Students with Autism community to participate in online discussions with peers, for invitations to upcoming webinars, to view past webinar recordings, to take a quiz and receive a CE certificate for a past webinar, and for access to more resources.
