This webinar is part two of a three-part series entitled Extending Place Value Understanding from Smaller to Larger Numbers. The series covers research-informed strategies for supporting upper elementary students as they extend their thinking from numbers up to 1000 (which can be more easily modeled) to larger numbers, which are less readily modeled and more abstract to understand.

In this presentation, Dr. Sara Delano Moore explored strategies for helping students share what they understand about place value and develop their understanding further through math talks and discourse about models and experiences.
