In this webinar presentation, Amy shed light on the various elements of creativity and offer practical applications for learning environments, teachers of all disciplines, and students of all ages. Amy answered the most frequently asked and important questions about fostering creativity in the classroom, such as:

  • Why is it imperative that we cultivate creative thinking with ourselves and our students?
  • To what extent can creativity be learned and practiced?
  • What sort of social and physical environments foster creativity?
  • What is the relationship between creating and learning, and how does creating help us think critically?

amy burvallA Humanities teacher for over 20 years in private and International Baccalaureate schools, Amy is a leader in educational technology and creativity in the classroom. She joined John Kao’s EdgeMakers in November 2014 as Vice President of Academic Affairs, where she develops creativity and innovation curriculum for both traditional and blended courses. Amy is well known for her YouTube channel “History for Music Lovers,” which features history-based parody music videos with over 12 million views, has appeared in Wired magazine, The Washington Post, The New Yorker, and international blogs and media. Amy is a sought after speaker and a Google Certified Innovator.
