helen soule p21Dr. Helen Soulé is the P21 Executive Director and a lifelong educator with P-16 leadership experience at the local, state and national level. She is the executive Director of P21. Soulé previously served as chief of staff to the assistant secretary for the Office of Postsecondary Education in the U.S. Department of Education, and as Executive Director of Cable in the Classroom. A frequent presenter on 21st century learning, she is a founding SETDA member and recipient of numerous awards, including Mississippi Educational Computing Association’s Technology Educator of the Year.

 

 

Emily LiebtagEmily Liebtag, Ed.D., is Manager of Curriculum and Instructional Design at VIF International Education. Emily helps create educational and professional development resources focused on global education, inquiry-based learning and 21st-century skills. She is particularly passionate about exploring effective teacher preparation practices and global competence development in U.S. teachers and students. Emily taught second grade in Durham Public Schools in North Carolina. She received her B.A. in Elementary Education and M.Ed. in Science Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Ed.D. in Curriculum, Teaching and Learning from the University of Virginia.
suzanne finchSuzanne Finch is a fourth grade teacher at Hopewell Elementary School in Trinity, North Carolina, a P21 national exemplar school. She received her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Elon University in 2001, where she was a North Carolina Teaching Fellows recipient. In 2007, she graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with Master’s of Education with an emphasis in K-12 Literacy. After receiving this degree, she earned her National Board Certification and now mentors potential candidates. She is the chairperson of the Multicultural and Global Awareness Committee, where she collaborates with teachers about ways of incorporating global and 21st century topics into all curricular areas.
