Ellen DorrAbout the Presenter

Ellen Dorr serves as the director of digital learning for Renton School District in Washington. She works with administrators, schools, and teachers to leverage high-potential digital resources in a systemic, sustainable way. She partners with Learning and Teaching and with tech services in order to ensure that resources to support students’ learning are provided and used intentionally. She identifies and plans implementation of digital tools that meet specific learning needs and evaluates data on these tools, while supporting this instructional model by focusing on differentiation and personalization and ensuring equitable outcomes for all students.

Previously, Ellen served as the learning technology manager for Highline Public Schools in Washington, doing similar work by helping to draft a technology access plan and by collaborating across disciplines and departments to further the work of personalization. She is an adjunct faculty member at Seattle Pacific University, supporting the Master in Education in Digital Education Leadership Program. She is also a member of cohort two of the Deeper Learning Leadership Forum, supported by Envision Learning and the Hewlett Foundation. She is a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) and a Certified Education Technology Leader (CETL).
