Crafting Argument – Writing for College & Career Readiness

Short Constructed Response requirements set the stage for what is expected in the Writing and Performance Task assessments. In this session for the edWeb.net College and Career Readiness community, Kevin Baird explored exemplar items for actual writing assessment prompts, and investigated instructional strategies to develop proficiency among students. Kevin, who is Chairman of the Board at the nonprofit Center for College and Career Readiness, also looked at the requirements for writing in mathematics.
