Classroom Habitudes: Teaching 21st Century Skills to Brains Wired in the Digital Age
This months Brain and Learning webinar was both informative and inspirational. Over 250 participants joined to hear Angela discuss how successful student’s, workers, and citizens have identifiable habits and behaviors which allow them to manage emotions, communicate effectively, and sustain themselves as independent and successful lifelong learners. As Angela shared intentional lessons and conversations that nurture the brain and develop these habits and attitudes – the Habitudes that ensure our students’ success far beyond our classrooms, participants eagerly shared and commented on key points and ideas on Twitter! After the hour and a half long session, attendees left feeling empowered and excited.

Angela Maiers is a teacher educator and author. She is the owner and lead consultant for Maiers Educational Services, an organization that assists schools and other organizations in meeting their learning and productivity goals. Angela’s most recent books are The Habitudes and The Passion Driven Classroom. She is active online on Twitter @angelamaiers and also on her blog at angelamaiers.com. Angela earned a Bachelors of Science in Education from the University of Iowa, and completed her graduate and post-graduate work at Drake University.
