children-593313_1280Would you like to learn how to start a coding club that meets Common Core, ISTE, and State Standards for Technology, and prepares students for 21st century learning? In this webinar, presented by the Teaching Kids to Code community on edWeb.net, Trish Cloud offers practical tips and information on how she did just that with her students in grades 1-5. The ultimate goal of the coding club is to introduce elementary students to all kinds of coding so they’ll continue to be life-long learners of the computer sciences. Trish explains that more and more students in her school have expressed an interest in coding and, amazingly enough, it has been wonderful to watch them pick it up so easily and get the basics of sequence, functions, and loops. View the webinar and learn:

  • how to create a coding club at your school
  • how to build student interest
  • about apps and sites such as Kodable, Lightbot, Code.org and Codecademy
